The club rugby season may be over but some Burntwood RUFC players are still lacing up their boots to represent Staffordshire Rugby.
Kian Carter, Alex Rich and Alex Smail were all in the Staffordshire U20s line-up that defeated Warwickshire 41-21 at Broadstreet RFC a week ago. Having already beaten North Midlands back in March, the county squad, led by Burntwood Head Coach Steve Harris, topped their pool and now meet East Midlands in the Midlands final at Walsall RFC this Sunday, 19th May – kick off 3pm.
Staffordshire will hope to retain the Midlands crown they won last season. If they do, they will have a home semi-final against the North of England champions.
